URL Redirects Codes

Friday, April 20th, 2007

I currently wrote a post on url redirect in my previous article, but I figured I would go little bit more into depth about this, since 301 redirects can be an important part of search engine optimization, or any one that is in the process of learning seo.
I will go over the following meta refresh redirect, php redirect, asp redirect, coldfusion redirect, javascript redirect, shtml redirects, and give you details on why these are important to the search engines, and why you should use them, another thing that is good about redirects is say that someone adds your link to there website, but they only use yourdomain.com instead of www.yourdomain.com, well if they use yourdomain.com and you have no redirect set then you will not receive any credit with the search engines from it.

Now if you had a 301 redirect that was redirecting yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com it will pass all page rank, and juice from other websites. You just never know how many inbound links you got that are pointing toward you thats not using your full domain name, so this can play a vital role in optimizing your site, and is just a plus because there is several factors that come upon search.

301 redirects

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

301 redirect and search engine optimization play a vital role if your wanting to get a new domain, or redirect current links. The good thing about 301 redirect that a lot of people don’t know is that a 301 redirect passed the page rank, so for example you purchase a new domain, and want to pass all your old pr to your new domain just use a 301 redirect with your old domain, and redirect it to your new domain.

Now that you have 301 redirected your old domain to your new domain, all pr will be passed, and all search engines will read your site as it would the old domain, so therefore no rankings are lost, well depends on if your keywords were in the domain, but for the most part you ranking shouldn’t be effected at all.

Just be careful when redirected a domain, don’t go redirected a domain that has no similar niche, to your new domain. Make sure both domain are are relevant, because all the inbound links going to your old domain will get passed to you new domain, and you wouldn’t want search engine listings to show up that are relevant to your website, that you could get banned for.

Why are contextual links so good to have?

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

Contextual links are a major factor of search engine optimization, I’d have to say contextual links are the bet a seo can get, or natural links. The reason contextual links are so great is because of course they are practically 100% ethical, but on top of that every link is placed with then a paragraph typically directed towards someone service.

The other good thing about contextual links on blog post is that your getting a link back, and most of the time these type of links are permanent, and when we get a link back thats a point for the search engines specially Google, so my advise on contextual advertising is great, I think contextual advertising is the best.

Another thing that is great about contextual advertising is that a lot of the time the advertiser gets to choose on the anchor text, and we know our anchor text plays an important role in how we rank in the search engines, sometimes these links can be quite costly, but well worth the run.

Paypal Security, and Protecting your self from internet fraud

I decided to write about this article for many reasons, one I am concerned about all the issues on the web today, and I have seen many bad things go on, and myself have been getting a lot of pay pal notifications telling me to verify my password cause they think there is suspicious activity going on, when its actually a hacker.
