Our experience with Dewitts Media has been excellent and we highly recommend them. Just after a few months of consulting work with Dewitt Media we began to rise in search engine placement and our traffic grew exponentially. Dewitts Media really does know the secrets of the SEO industry and we will continue to confide in their expertise every step of the way to number 1, which is not far, we are currently number 4 using keyword "printing" on Google.

Google Analytics Has a New Design (Dewitts Media)

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

Google analytics has came out with a new design, I have still been using the classic mode, but I guess this comes to where I’m still getting use to it. I don’t quite like it so much yet, I think I need to get use to it. I’m really relaxed using the old analytics, and I know where everything else is, but I haven’t had much time to play around with the new one.

The design looks great, well I guess I can’t say I don’t quite like it, but I think I’m getting use to it like I stated in my last paragraph. The things I’ve notice about it is that its got a new Custom Dashboard, new design on visitors overview, trend and over time graph, and more.

For any one that don’t know what Google Analytics is, its basically a website traffic meter. The good thing about Google Analytics is that it will show status for adwords, and organic search results. You can also set conversion rate, which granted I haven’t got too much into the adwords cause I’m not a major adwords supporter, but I am a organic search supporter.

I think Google Analytics is by far the best, and has put awstats out, or any other traffic analytics. If you’d like to learn more about the analytics check out Google Analytics. They also have a online blog at Google Analytics Blog

How Social Media has Changed Online Marketing World

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

I figured I would write this post to tell how I feel, and think about social media marketing. I think social media has had a major impact on marketing in general, and many seos are using it for traffic, and to convert more sales. We our bringing enormous amount of traffic through social media marketing ourself.

There has been several other things that social media marketing has been used for and thats contextual links which is pay per post service, which we offer the same services here at Dewitt’s Media, and pay all bloggers $10 dollars per post. The great thing about contextual links is that there good for direct traffic, and search engine rankings.
Social Media Marketing can also keep your traffic coming in, and progress your business more. I recently wrote a post the other day on how to use social media marketing to build traffic, and convert more sales for your business with social media. You can check the post out at The Secrets of Social Media Marketing For Business.

In that post I went over a few tips, here later on I’m going to write a more in depth article about social media marketing for business, but in the post I just gave a link for has went over some important things, and has a few other links inside the article which has 100’s of tips on how to use social marketing for building brand awareness, create income, create conversions, generating subscribers, and many more.

Social Media Marketing can increase search engine rankings to by creating more inbound links, the more links you got the more higher your search engine rankings are going to be. Thats one thing search engine optimization is about is links, and thats why social media is so powerful for marketing, and plus its 100 percent natural.

One quick note, Google is going to start breaking down on paid links a bit harder, I don’t necessarily think that there going to crack down so hard on legit websites and business, but then again this depends. Honestly I think Matt Cutts (leader of google link spam team) will be going after websites that are buying huge amount of links in a short period of time, or buying off topic links from non relevant websites.

Social Media Marketing is a very powerful tool used by search engine optimizers, I would say there is nothing better then of course link building. The thing about social media marketing is that you can get 100’s of people to subscribe to your rss feed, build links naturally, convert more sales, and keep people coming back of course.
When you keep the visitors coming back because of the educational stuff you write about you can then start to advertise on your website rather its services, banner ads, or anything to that nature. Once people find out you have a very active blog people will want to advertise on it.

If you are new to social media marketing let me go through some things that will help you identify social media marketing, and what you can do to drive more traffic with social media. I will give you the steps to success, with social media marketing you can drive traffic with practically no investment what so ever which I’ll get into, maybe a small investment, but not like you’d pay for ads, and etc.

First if you not famaliar with social media please check out Social Media Marketing Marketing - Encyclopedia, once you have study this, and understand what social media marketing is, or have a better idea read on…

Make the blog post interesting, you can get several ideas from The secret handbook on driving blog traffic, now what this blog will due is keep your website traffic active. Keyword Research, The Best Tools to use

Sunday, May 6th, 2007

There are some great keyword research tools out there such as wordtracker and etc, but these tools don’t seem to be 200 percent accurate, I think more then anything there excellent for miming up your keyword list. What you want to do is create an adwords account and use adwords for your keyword research in the end. You might lost some money, but the results are live and you know what your getting is actual results.

Always be sure to set the bid rate on the keyword list very high, so your keyword is ranking number 1. Adwords will give give you the total impressions for each keywords which is great. It will also give you estimated clicks, and etc. Give it a try!

W3C Compliant Html Code and SEO Rankings

Sunday, May 6th, 2007

Being w3c compliant and valid html code is a very wide disucssionn across forums, and other parts of the web. Matt Cutts has stated several times that having non valid html, or valid html does not effect your rankings, he cleary has stated that its nice to have good html source of course, but he said if optimizing for seo purposes don’t let this become a major concern, and just worry about that later.
