13 Blog Promotion Tips
Blog building tips, another great post. Blog building is time consuming thats for sure, but the idea is to start getting the people in there so you can hook them in. Once you get 150 subscribers leverage them and grow your blog. Then you can turn that 150 maybe into 200,300, and so on. Just let it move forward, and let your readers promote your blog for you.Ok lets get down with it, I’ll try to list some of the more educational blog building tips and leave out the so called not effective blog building tips.
- Landing Page, Grab you up a landing page and direct traffic with it rather its through PPC or organic search. Just drive as much traffic to that landing page as possible, and make it special for example list stuff that no one else has achieved before or just anything you can say to get people to subscribe to your feed hopefully that made sense, or you get my drift.
- Link Building, Build links into your blog and start getting relevant links. Build them to your blog and your landing page. Generally a blog with higher page rank is always going to attract more traffic due to most of the time blogs are picked up by long tails and etc, but then again I’ve seen a lot of blog post ranking for competitive keywords that were bait material where they got linked to a lot.
- Quality, always think quality remember to always make nothing, but quality post because the more quality post you make the better. I mean who would want to read a blog that has nothing, but short low quality post. I sure wouldn’t. The more quality post you get the more of a chance that article will get naturally promoted for you.
- Viral, Alway think virally after awhile of thinking like this you’ll start to learn whats hooking your readers and etc. Then before you know you will be mixing different techniques up all the time.
- Titles, Always use attractive titles. I have always found titles such as 101 ways to build a better website, or 25 ways to have better sex have always been appealing and people seem to always check them out just because of the title.
- Own Domain, Host your blog off your own domain, don’t use blogspot or anything like that no offense to any one thats using blog spot, but there junk if you ask me. You have no control over your blog hardly or you website in general.
- Duplicate other Success, This is a great one and I got the idea from performancing.com always pay attention to what other people are doing to get there RSS feed up or whatever. Hang out at there blog and subscribe you’ll learn a lot from other people just like a lot of people will learn from you.
- Master Link Bait, You ever notice certain blogs feed just start going up after time. For example someones blog is very small, but sooner or later it just starts to grow, grow, and grow. Most of the time its because the blogger is getting better with viral post and etc which will result in link baits. Just takes lot of practice though generally before you hit that level, unless your a natural which is rare.
- Social Networks, Join social networks such as forums that are related to your topic and get famaliar with Digg, Reddit, and stumble upon. Places like this are excellent for building friends, and getting your feed up. Specially forums if they allow you to drop a post with your url in it you can majorly get people into your feed.
- Design, Always have a nice clean design blog. Which granted some blogs are happening and hardly have any design what so ever. Which granted it don’t have to be the coolest looking blog out there, but just make sure it looks clean and easy to read.
- visable RSS, Make sure your RSS feed is visible to users. Don’t have it hidden :).
- Reply to comment, Not all people, but some people like the reply to comments feature. I know I do its makes it more interactive.
- Reply To comments, Always make sure your replying to comments, if a reader ask you a question then answer it don’t be stubborn.
Thats pretty much it which there is 1000’s of things you could do to promote a blog of course. The idea though is to just stay persistent and keep posting quality content, and don’t be lazy. Don’t be one of them people that are crying all the time because there not making any money online the thing is you must build your brand / blog and then start to focus on money and etc. Takes a lot of dedication, but its well worth it in the long run.
