Dead Links Destory Quality Blogs

You know I was just reading a recent post on Go On a Dead Link Hunt which Problogger Darren Rowse wrote, and I’d have to say it most certainly destroys the quality of your weblogs, or dead links on a website in general. Which granted on a larger blog not all links are going to stay up to date, but its always a good idea that you remove them so it won’t scare people off, or make them not want to view your blog just over one dead link.

Believe it or not some people are like that some people won’t visit a website or stick around just because of the design, text, css styles, and etc. So its always a good idea to fix every little thing wrong with your website, or blog in general. Anyways Darren said something about SEO and getting penalized by having dead links might cost you a penalty which I highly disagree. Nothing against Darren I like him an everything, but I seriously doubt the search engines are going to penalize you for it, which granted I do agree with him on the statement that he made about they sure won’t give you credibility for it.

So I ‘d have to say my suggestions would be to check for dead links just like Darren said I would have to agree, but I wouldn’t worry about it effecting your rankings or anything like that. Just make sure you keep posting great content and keep your readers attached and communicate with them, and if you find a dead link remove it.
