Web 2.0 and Content Production
Social networking is a powerful tool, and your probably wondering why? If so thats ok a lot of people are still getting famaliar with social networking and Web 2.0 believe it or not. The thing is with blogs and forums is that there so powerful for generating community interest, and better yet blogs are a very powerful tool for links and brand awareness. You can use forums or popular social networking sites like Digg, Reddit, and Stumble Upon to get people into your website and make sales or generate that community then leverage them into giving you links that will result in more search traffic and sales.
The thing is you need something such as bait to catch people into your site, or to draw the traffic. I’d say 90 percent of the time people will click or visit your website through a social network is because of the title, or you could create a pathway for them to enter for example your at a forum you have wrote an e-book on link building or online marketing. Make a post about this and tell every one you have an ebook and to page you to get it and then try to promote your feed and tell them to subscribe to get more valuable information like that, works like a charm.
The thing is you could do this, but would that ebook really be worth it, you will have to take the time out to write and produce the content that people want to view. I have set down for 2 weeks at a time writing up articles and content sometimes people love them, and sometimes people are just like cool, but the bottom line is you have to practice until you get perfect otherwise you won’t ever go anywhere and besides that if you just keep focusing on quality content on your site sooner or later your going to start getting links.
Take a look at a few tips I have listed such as what to keep in mind when creating link bait worth content or viral content that will produce links.
- Time Is Links, Take your time out to do everything don’t rush into getting something done which I’m not saying go beat your head against the wall for 10 hours trying to produce 1 page in your ebook, but better yet just take your time and go at a slow rhythm and create something worthy.
- Creativity, Produce something that is creative and different. Use images, video, and just get creative with your content.
- In Depth, One thing I notice people love is when you get into depth about stuff this would fall back under the category of taking your time out to do it right for example would you put 20 hours into writing that article up or 5 hours how far in details do you want to go, well personally if it was me I would try to go far as I can if not I would come back later and improve it. People love detailed content thats highly educational it never fails at getting links from my experience anyways.
- Updates, Always come back and update your content for example if you think your content can be improved then improve it.
Content is gold for a website, its really not that hard to understand or comprehend you create link bait worthy content then your going to get traffic bottom line. Now don’t take me wrong you might fail a quite of few times or only be successful so many times, but as time goes on you’ll get better at creating bait content well I’d hope so anyways. Just make sure whatever your writing about you have a passion for it and keep a positive mind set because producing content is not for every body thats for sure some people love writing and do it with out even knowlying trying to get links or generating community interest.
The type of people that write and love to do it and keep a positive attitude about things are usually the ones that are successful by far, so the idea is to be patient and work, work, and work. Don’t get all caught up with making a bunch of money at first because before you get to that point you will need a source of traffic and you can do this with content thats why I say content is like gold it can make you a lot of money, but you must have the patient to set down and create it and then you must have the patience to test on what works, and what does not work because you’ll probably figure out a lot of stuff won’t work at first, but then before you know it you will start finding a lot of stuff that does work just depends on the person to - just give it time and stay focused.
