Directory Submission and Web Directories
You know directory submissions are very important when it comes to SEO if you ask me. Sometimes they might be quite costly (After adding up), but they are well worth it and I’ve heard a few SEOS saying that the best directories are Yahoo, Dmoz, and Business.com and sites similar to that.
I disagree they are excellent directories, but most of the categories are flooded with outbound links and then you don’t get your desired anchor text half the time. For any one that is very famaliar with SEO and they see a page that has 40 outbound links on a pr4-5 they should know that it hardly gives you any credibility what so ever. If you look around there is some good quality web directories with a high page rank that are old directories with hardly no outbound links some of them only have 1-2 outbounds on a pr5-6 page, and thats what you want.
I would suggest leaving all of your directory submissions up to a professional SEO, you might think you know how directories work and you might think its simple, you hit the submit button and you get a link. Well sorry to say but there is more to it then just that if your someone that don’t have much experience with SEO and web directories then the best idea is to leave it up to a professional SEO. There is several factors to look for when submitting to web directories like domain age, link placement, what page the link is on, sponsored listing, and there is so many things that add up that ony a true SEO would recognize from experience.
