24 Website Building / Promotion Tips
There are several ways of promoting website and building profits off them. You can use several things to leverage your market with websites such as link building, viral marketing, blogs, and etc. I’d preferably say blogs can be your tool for links, social media, and branding. Take a look at some of the sites and examples I listed below that you can use effectively to promote your website.
- Link Building, this is by far the best method to use to get the desired links you want with your anchor text speaking your buying them which there is several other ways of getting links for free and getting your desired anchor text you just need to have the hook and have some type of capital over there head so it will force them into giving you your desired anchor text.
- Blogs, The oh mercy of blogs, blogs are great for branding, social media, community driven websites, link building, link baiting, and you name it.
- Directory Submissions, Submit to higher quality web director such as BOTW, JoeAnt, Dmoz, and etc. Directories are good and can contain a lot of trust and authority specially the older ones or directories that have a lot o older websites connected to them.
- Viral Content, Yes indeed promote as much viral content as possible. The thing is with viral content it might not take off right away, but after you keep building the content up, and releasing new articles sooner or later the content will be leashed, and people will start linking to it.
- Social Media Submission, Submit your website to social media sites such as stumble upon, Digg, Reddit, and etc. I’m not saying go spam them out, but write the highest quality post available every day, and then submit you’ll start getting nibbles from it. The things that I’ve notice worked best are titles like blog building 101, 99 tips to build a better website, and things to that nature.
- Domain, Use a domain that is yours, not a sub domain from wordpress, blogspot, or one of them off topic blogs. Register a great domain, and start hosting quality content. You know even a better thing to do is to buy old domains, and use the old domains as your domain. Find one that is for sale, and relevant to your niche and purchase it and use it.
- Affiliates, Is there a service you offer if so then run affiliate campaign offer for your products. Also you can have a programmer build you a script that will 301 redirect all the affiliate juice into your website therefore when ever people link to you it will help you out on the search engines too.
- Graphics Design, Promote nothing, but high quality designs thats right. When you have a better looking website people perception is different about you. You want to promote a beautiful vision.
- Brand Building, Focus on how you can build your brand, read brand building books, and etc. You’ll find a list of related articles at the bottom on brand building and marketing.
- Usability, Have a website that has great usability features such as easy navigation, and easy reading things to that nature.
- Proof Read Content Writing, Always make sure you check your websites content writing. This is Something I need to work on quite honestly I get in a hurry and write articles up, and then I don’t proof read it, but make sure this is something you do this is highly important.
- Connect With Readers, When your write try to connect with your readers if you feel, or think there is some question that your always getting asked, or have it in mind what there thinking write about it you’ll be dazzled on the replies and results you get from it.Now check out some of the articles below these are related to building a better website such as usability, css, marketing and more.
