Marketing and building a business online or a local business takes a lot of dedication like we all know. Try to surround your self with people that are motivated, and passionate about what they do. The more you put your self in this circle the better you will be, for example you always hang out with druggies, and drug addicts the chances are you won’t go far in life which we all know its your option if you choose to do the same thing the drug heads are doing around you.

Now if you put your self around people that are very motivated and talented entrepreneurs it will eventually rub off on you, and it will lead to success. I think this is pretty much common sense if you ask me you are basically what your surroundings are, but then again that depends the whole idea it to push your self to that level if you don’t push your self to the level of success it will never happen and every one must start some where, so start building your status up.

Another example would be a family if all your family members are CEO’s of companies and entrepreneurs the chances are you will probably be one. It just works that way generally unless you choose to do something else with you life. I think being around people that have been successful with there career and there online blogs, companies, or whatever really help the rookies out that is trying to get there feet wet because the professional that has led to success can help the new people out.

Thats why getting involved in online communities is so great, or attending SMX, SES, or any marketing conferences similar to that. You can meet other people share ideas, join the parties, and learn. The potential of all this stuff combined together can really help you out, you will meet so many people that have business mind sets and corporate type thinking that you can use to benefit your self just pay attention to what people do around you, don’t follow them, but learn from them (its part of human nature).

Just keep in mind if your going to build a online business you stick with your plans and your plans only. Do not follow what every one else does, or take every one else’s opinion on everything you do. Do what your vision tells you to do. If you have a strong vision then proceed with that vision not what every one else is telling you to do, so put your self in the circle and then success will roll in.

Building blogs, social communities, search engine rankings, and anything internet marketing related takes a lot of skills, time, patients, determination, and motivation. It won’t happen over night unless you pretty smart and well experienced then you could probably just jump into the game and have things rolling in, but if your someone new to the field and your really wanting to explore things to a further level it will take time to build your name up and status.

1. Brand Building, The thing is with building brands it gets people connected with your name. Don’t be the guy that hides all the time, and never wants to speak to people on phone or meet. Be the person that wants to meet your clients and talk to them. I see people fail, and fail at this they never put there self out there such as there name its like they stay anonymous for some odd reason.
2. Motivator, Be a real time motivator in what you do. Don’t be a person that sets around and cries all the time because your only making 20k a year. Be the person that will follow certain paths that will make you millions reguardless of what your making now (which can be hard, but believes will take you there).
3. Promote, Promote, and Promote, This would almost fall back under the category of being a real motivator. Be that person that promotes like a mad man, do it every way possible. I think the best ways of promoting is keeping people inbound, which would be by keeping people calling you and wanting your services.
4. Professional, Try to keep things professional looking as possible. Such as blog design, website design, or anything similar to that which granted if your starting out you might not have all the money in the world to get what you want, but you can still leverage your self into these areas to obtain this money that will take you to other levels.
5. Communities, Which I mentioned this earlier, but become part of social communities through out the web. Network with people share your achievements so people get famaliar with who you are and what your capable of doing this will help promote your image more naturally through word of mouth marketing which they say is the strongest form of marketing available to man kind :).
6. Inbound, This was even brought up earlier to, but let me get a little bit more into details why this is important for. Try to keep every thing inbound as coming into you the reason being is because its a lot more easy to get people in your direction that will help you expand. If your always out looking for business there is something wrong which granted you might have to do that in the beginning, but think of ways you can keep people calling you with out even contacting them where it will virally spread.

The bottom line is that it takes motivation, and time. If you have motivation to succeed on the web you can do it, or maybe if your someone that has money you can just pay a SEO Company to take care of your promotion and getting things established for you then you take over your part. I’d say the most important tip of all I mentioned was keeping things inbound to blog, company, or business.
