Link Bait and Web Directories
I recently wrote a recent post on link bait with AdWords and how it can be used to actually get your content noticed encase your someone that don’t get much traffic to your website. If you are someone that has taken the time out to write up some good content, but don’t have money to use AdWords as your link bait tool then read on.
Ok so what do you do, basically mime up some keywords towards these articles, and then go do some directory submissions whether there free / paid whatever you can afford. Now make sure you use your keyword list of course, and just submit to 100’s of directories if not 1000’s. Use the keywords therefore your article will show up in the search engines more frequently since you have direct relevant keyword rich links to it.
This might not give you as much credibility as Adwords would, or someone that has a bunch of traffic already, but this can be a good technique to get the article ranking higher in the search engines (everything adds up). Also be sure to submit it to social media sites such as Digg, Rededit, and etc. Make sure you use a catch title that will have a hook to it.
If this don’t work and time has went by just keep building the traffic up to your website, and when the traffic does start to come, start reusing these articles through out your website to get them noticed. For example your website 6 months later has picked up some good traffic and you have a nice blog going, now start linking this article in all your post as much as you can don’t get carried away, but link it and link it.
Bottom line is just keep writing great content, make it the best and capture links from it. Whether your getting traffic or not, sooner or later it will come!
