301 redirect does it work?
I just did a 301 redirect our new domain is http://www.dewittsmedia.com our brand name :). I’m very happy we finally got things switched over. There will be 27k inbound links redirecting to our new domain, and I’m in the top 7 for website design and we have many other competitive keywords ranking. I’m not sure on the effect or if this will work, but I will keep every one advised on how well the 301 work when you have such a mass quantity of linkage and rankings very competitively for certain keywords.
By the way I’ll be posting some good link building tips, and might go over some ABC linking techniques that can help your seo campaign, so stick around :).

How does a 301 redirect from banned-in-Google site affect the destination site? For example, suppose that yourSite1.com is banned in Google, and you redirect traffic coming to the domain yourSite2.com. Is there going to be any negative effect on yourSite2.com?

If a site is banned its banned it won’t pass no value to a new url.
