301 redirect I lost my rankings
Ok, guys I mentioned earlier how I was doing a 301 redirect, well guess what I did. I lost all my rankings and I’m excited, ok your probably wondering why are you excited for. Well the reason I’m excited for is because I want to see the effect and how well a 301 redirect works, I had top 5 rankings for website design and a lot of people think I’m playing with fire, but really I’m not google and other suggest thats the best way to do it, so I’m not nervous or worried my rankings they will slip right back in.
Actually some of my rankings have already re indexed so its not that big of a deal. Just going to take a few weeks to sort out and come back, the worse thing that can happen is just go back to my old domain if they do not return to normal, but I highly doubt that, I’m like 190% percent sure. Which granted Yahoo might take a little bit longer to sort things out and of course msn even longer. Someone with 32k inbound links and rankings for various competitive keywords your probably wonder how my traffic has been effected. Yes my traffic has slowed down a *lot*, but its also coming back up at the same time.
Stick around and I’ll keep you up to date on how the 301 redirect worked that I implemented.
