301 redirects
301 redirect and search engine optimization play a vital role if your wanting to get a new domain, or redirect current links. The good thing about 301 redirect that a lot of people don’t know is that a 301 redirect passed the page rank, so for example you purchase a new domain, and want to pass all your old pr to your new domain just use a 301 redirect with your old domain, and redirect it to your new domain.
Now that you have 301 redirected your old domain to your new domain, all pr will be passed, and all search engines will read your site as it would the old domain, so therefore no rankings are lost, well depends on if your keywords were in the domain, but for the most part you ranking shouldn’t be effected at all.
Just be careful when redirected a domain, don’t go redirected a domain that has no similar niche, to your new domain. Make sure both domain are are relevant, because all the inbound links going to your old domain will get passed to you new domain, and you wouldn’t want search engine listings to show up that are relevant to your website, that you could get banned for.
