Review of SES San Jose 2007 and Text Links
I was just reading a recent post made from Aaron Wall called Paid Links are Not SPAM. I guess the big debate at SES San Jose 2007 is that buying text links is spam, and Matt Cutts ahead of the Google Link Spam team is stating that they are spam, and Google want more cleaner organic results.
Before Google starts making accusations about paid links being spam, and they want more cleaner index they better focus more on not promoting the use of selling links. For example you can go to the Google search results and type in Buy Text Links, what comes back? Take a look there is all types of companies promoting there text link services via directly through adwords, and nothing is being said about it, but just maybe Google is heading in that direction on taking further action on paid links, but yet they state that editorial links are ok.
If editorial links are ok then places like Review Me, Pay Per Post, Text-Link-Ads, and numerous other companies similar to that should be ok. I know we sell text links, which we don’t strictly sell them for search engine purposes only. We sell contextual links as direct traffic, and etc. There stricly editorial links, and the publisher can deny the link, or feel free to write about it.
