9 Web 2.0 Marketing Tips
Marketing in web 2.0 has had major impact on all websites. Now days every one has a blog, when I say every one I mean every one and there brother pratically. Building online communities can be way more profitable whether people believe it or not. I still hear some people saying blogs are a waste of space, well I’d have to say there most certainly wrong. The power of blogs is just crazy if you have a blog and you create pathways to your products it can really fire your sales up, thats if you do it effectively. Below I have listed some tips and ideas about web 2.0 marketing, so take some time out and read them and study them. If you start to play around with the tips below you will find out you can use these to leverage your self and increase your sales dramatically.
- Content Updated Daily, This is where a lot of people go wrong at. They don’t update there content daily. When you are building social networks through out web 2.0 paradise it takes time and persistency. Make sure the content you are posting is very high quality, when I say high quality don’t be lazy and post about silly stuff, or low quality stuff. Sometimes I still have to tell my self this today. Just give it full dedication and eventually it will take off.
- Promote Vertically, When I say promote vertically think of the audience that you want to track to your weblog. For example you own a online printing store, so what type of consumers would you want to attract of course you would want to attract people that is interested in printing supplies and similar things, but at the same time think of how your going to effectively market your products while at the same time offering very valuable content that will hook your consumers and bring them in.
- Social Network Love, Connecting and building communities is about making friends or acquaintances of course. Find a way to connect with other social networks more of the popular ones I should say. Try to create discussion through out your blog from other sites. So make sure you link out to other people and send track backs because this can help a lot. Become friends with other well known publishers because they can help you promote your blog faster and plus you can learn off them.
- Look Around, Now if you ask me this is very important keep your eye out on what every one else is doing and writing about. When you stay up to date on this type of information it will give you more ideas on what to write about, so thereofre your marketing approach will become more effective for many more reasons. For example you wouldn’t want to write about stuff that is 7 years old that no one is going to search for think of things that is creating a lot of controversy or topics that people are searching for through out search engines this gives you a more of a chance of getting inbound links, more subscribers, and more traffic and of course the result of this can increase your market speaking you effectively leverage your self.
- Quality, I notice this every day there is only so many great blogs out there. For example a lot of people just throw a blog up write about some silly subjects and monetize it down with ads thinking there going to make cash right away. Don’t do this focus on a more quality content approach. The thing is there is only so many good blogs out there, a lot of blogs out there are either spammed out or don’t offer that great of content which don’t take me wrong there is a lot of good blogs out there, but there is still room for people that really want to succeed if you get my drift.
- Uniqueness, This falls back under the category of quality, identify your self as different. Write about content that is high quality. When I mean high quality I’m talking about stuff that will literally make your readers mind spin and can’t quite coming back. People like this type of stuff, you don’t want to write about your dog all the time and what you bought at the grocery store write about stuff that will hook people, make your self different. Make your self stand out and be noticeable, and then your website marketing approach will become more effective.
- Links, Some people might be against this (such as Google), but I don’t see anything wrong with it. Build links into your website whether you buy them or what. This can help promote your blog much faster, and of course the more page rank you got the better off you are. This can give you a jump start by purchasing higher quality links, or if your someone that can set down for a year or so and keep writing quality content do that either way you will come out looking good, but then again it takes a lot of dedication to be successful.
- Identify Your Writings, You know there is some things I have wrote up and then I go back to read them I’m thinking oh my this is terrible. Re read your writings, make sure they sound professional, hookable, and your thoughts sound well organized.
- Social Community Websites, Take some time out to educate your self on social community based websites such as Digg, Redit, Stumble Upon and etc. Generate friends from these networks, and then build your communities.
The idea behind web 2.0 publishing is building social networks. Take your time out and do all the following above right. Time is everything when it comes to marketing don’t rush your self into promoting a site cause then you’ll forget about the quality of the stuff your promoting. Its ok to promote like a mad man, but have the mind set of I’m going to do this right, and I’m going to take my time to get this done right. When you have this mind set generally your going to be a lot better in the long run.
Give it some thought and remember to always focus on quality. If you can write 1-3 great looking post a day over 9 low quality post a day I would go for the 1-3 great looking post a day, and remember take your time and promote effectively don’t loose your concentration. This is where a lot of online marketers fail at because they get tired, and become lazy. They start to think that there not going to be successful. If you start getting this mind set change things up, think of the ways you can make it better ask your self what am I going to do to promote higher quality content, just keep changing the cycles until you find out what becomes most effective and then work with that and starting turn sales and increasing ROI (Return on Investment).
